How to modify the TP4056 module to improve 18650 battery charging

These days, it's very common to see these types of batteries called 18650s, which are lithium-ion batteries widely used in different areas of electronics, ranging from screwdrivers to electric vehicles. However, it's important to keep in mind that they should only be used with an external monitoring device, such as protection boards or battery management systems (BMS), to monitor their health and prevent any damage or malfunction.

In the market, you'll find a huge number of Battery Management Systems (BMS) that handle everything from a single cell to multiple batteries, creating a high-capacity cell array. This little module here is the TP4056, named as such because its main component is the TP4056 chip itself.
It's a linear programmable charger for single-cell LiPo batteries with constant current and voltage.

The module also integrates two LED indicators for the charging status and two additional chips responsible for battery protection.

Although versions exist without these chips, in this case, we'll be using a version that includes them.
The TP4056 module with protection allows you to charge Li-ion batteries (3.7V) and protect them against short circuits, overcharging, and over-discharging.

Here we can see the voltage input, which is usually 5V, but this module supports inputs between 4.5V and 8V. In the center of the module, we find the TP4056 integrated circuit, which gives this module its model name. There's a charging indicator and next to it another LED that indicates when the battery is fully charged.
We also have the DW01A chip, which is responsible for constantly monitoring the battery's status. Working in conjunction with this integrated circuit is the FS8205A, which internally contains a dual MOSFET responsible for cutting off the connection between the battery and the power source. Acting as a kind of switch, this occurs when charging is complete, preventing discharge if the voltage drops below 2.7V. The battery is disconnected from the power source by the DW01A integrated circuit when the battery voltage drops to 2.4V. Reconnection is automatic and happens when the battery voltage exceeds 3V.

Essentially, this module facilitates the charging process. First, it ensures a constant current until the LiPo battery reaches 4.2V.
