The expeditions to Northrend returned victorious, but suddenly, enraged elementals descended upon Azeroth—a sign that the dragon aspect, Deathwing the Destroyer, was about to return. He emerged from his lair and brought destruction to Azeroth, opening portals to the Elemental Realm through which frenzied elementals and their lords poured. They intend to aid Deathwing and the vile Twilight's Hammer cult in bringing about the Hour of Twilight and destroying all life on Azeroth.
