Recently my dishwasher's power button started to get stuck in the "on" position, then after a few days it became completely stuck on and the button was now loose.
I emailed Danby Parts Canada for help narrowing down the part numbers for the replacements, but they wouldn't help and just said to call a local authorized repair shop. My city only listed 1 shop for Danby, so I called them and got no answer all day. So went back online, found the part numbers, ordered from Danby's online parts website, then replaced them myself.
Upon replacing them I found that my switch had actually melted or expanded, causing the switch to get stuck depressed and the button was no longer attached to the switch, so that is why the button was loose to the touch. Replaced both despite the wires looking like they got heat damage, and it works fine again.
In total parts and shipping came to $30 CAD.
