EU fines Google and Apple $2.7 Billion and $14 Billion, respectively.
A lucrative day for the EU: Google has to pay 2.7 billion Dollars and Apple has to pay 14 Billion Dollars.
The EU Court of Justice has dismissed Google’s appeal to overturn the 2.7 billion Dollar fine Google was slapped with, after abusing its dominant position.
This comes after the EU also fined Apple to repay 14 billion Dollars in tax benefits due to Ireland's low tax rates.
