Most content strategists are on board with the idea of designing systems from the content out to the design. You probably nod your head vigorously when you hear Carrie Hane and Mike Atherthon say, “People don’t care about the containers, they care about the things they contain.” But how many product design processes actually put content and data structure first?

Object-Oriented UX does just that. An OOUX mindset and the ORCA process helps designers, developers, business folks, and content strategists come together to collaboratively structure a system based on objects, their relationships, the calls-to-action on those objects, and the attributes that make up those objects — hence, ORCA. And this all happens before anyone sketches screens.

In this panel discussion, Sophia Prater, the creator of the ORCA process and the OOUX Masterclass and Certification Program, will moderate a discussion between four content strategists who leverage OOUX in their work.

This will be an organic conversation, so who knows where the conversation will take us! That said, here are some key takeaways to expect:

How OOUX can help support classic content activities,
How OOUX can supercharge the influence of content strategy team,
What OOUX tools are most valuable to content strategists,
How content strategists are adapting and evolving OOUX methods.
