Relax-and-Recover (ReaR) is a disaster recovery framework for use by Unix System administrators. It is a collection of Bash scripts that need to be adjusted to the specific production environment that is to be protected in case of disaster.
Functions of Rear tool ( Relax-and-Recover tool)
1) ReaR tool is responsible to take Image level backup of Operating System data and we can restore through using ISO image.
2) ReaR tool is disaster recovery tool to recover the Operating System in case of Disaster. ReaR tool can recover broken system from bootloader.
3) ReaR tool is system migration utility – ReaR tool can be used to migrate the OS from one server to other server with Same OS configuration.
