Over the past few months, visitors of all ages have been sharing their thoughts, imagery and feedback with artist Viktoriya Basina with the goal of creating a 1,100-sq-ft. mural on our exterior wall that captures our community story. This collaboration will culminate in painting days, during which visitors were invited to add their handprint to the panels that will make up our new outdoor mural. These handprints will adorn the side of our building for years to come.
This project is part of LICM’s Community Voices Take Shape grant, supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support from the Bader Foundation.
