This is the least exciting but most valuable guide I can give you for starting a dashboard or reporting project.
This is what a typical project looks like. Much of my earlier career was spent doing some version of this flow. I've simplified it as much as I can to make it accessible and understandable. It should be useful for just about anyone going through a project in Excel - whether you're building dashboards or just cleaning up a funky CSV file.
