Tesla Phantom Braking (PBP) explained Plus my own experience with Phantom braking
In this video, I talk about my experience with Autopilots Phantom Braking. Curious to hear other Tesla owner's thoughts and if this has happened to them.
Phantom Breaking: It is a condition in which a Tesla (maybe other cars, idk) sees something in its camera system that it perceives to be an obstacle so it slows the vehicle. It is said to be phantom because there may not be something in the way. This does not happen to me on the regular, but it does happen. I have noticed that when it does happen it usually happens in the same places. That tells me that there is something in the environment off in the distance that the vehicle is interpreting incorrectly. I am still waiting for a response from Tesla so that I can close the door for now on this story.
