Virtual Biomedical Research Awareness Day 2020
The official Biomedical Research Awareness Day was one of countless events postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, because animal studies are so critically important right now, AMP decided to hold a virtual BRAD on April 16, 2020. Though various online platforms participants shared photos of themselves, their family, and their pets showing their appreciation for the scientists and animals attempting to find a cure for COVID-19. Others demonstrated their creativity through art, BRAD coloring sheets and the white board activity. We also heard shared stories from some participants about their role in laboratory animal medicine and the animal studies that have directly impacted their lives.
