Izaline Calister, a passionate young singer at the beginning of her career, struggling to find a balance in her music between her origin and the demands of the music world. Izaline Calister’s musical career took shape in the Netherlands, but her love for music was born on Curaçao, the Caribbean Island of the Netherlands. Her life as a singer in the Netherlands makes Izaline feel far from home. In order to get hold of her own roots, she goes on an extraordinary journey to Curaçao to discover her musical heritage. This journey shows an enormous contrast to her “daily” life. Izaline struggles to respect her own roots and traditions, while at the same time she tries to comply with the demands of the music world.
