Wolv Haven's City Area Rapid Transit (City line/Line 1) platform at city hall station!
The station has platform screen doors that are activated when a train enters the station. The redstone current is delayed, allowing the train to completely stop before triggering a flip flop which opens the doors. This same redstone current also triggers another delay which later triggers the flashing lights and the 7 dings before it activates the same flip flop again, causing the doors to close. The detector rail is placed at the track nearby the station where the train passes over it but does not stop on it. A simpler type of these doors are used at other stations where there is a detector rail which is placed at the station where the train stops, removing the need for the flip flop and delay. This simpler version however, does not come with the flashing lights and the 7 dings. This simpler version is also less realistic as the doors open as the train pulls in the station. They also remain open when the train departs.
The trains you see in this video are 17 car trains. These trains have since been upgraded to 20 car trains - just enough to pack a full server in
We use a bukkit plugin called "TrainCarts" to connect minecarts together.
