One last big push before SRB2 2.2! Metroid Vanguard is the new project name for Samus.pk3, cheekily named with Dreadnought in mind. Check out the SRB2 MB or google docs for info if you don't want to plunge right in. If you're entirely new to SRB2, download it from SRB2.org first, then extract this into the SRB2 folder!
