Ringing of the Bells at DGHI
Have you walked through Trent Hall and heard the sound of bells ringing in the hallways? Ever wonder why? Each spring semester, 2nd-year Master of Science in Global Health students defend their theses in front of a committee of faculty and staff who have guided them through their research. Committee members and DGHI education staff ring silver bells to celebrate each successful defense. In this video, education team members Laura Bey and Lysa MacKeen explain the tradition, and we follow MS-GH student Suhana Posani as she defends her thesis and hears the bells ring for her.
