I got a little white sketchbook for Christmas in 2017, and from December 15, 2017, to February 19, 2018, I made almost all of my art inside this charming little book. I've never been one to use a sketchbook; I'm the type with ten unfinished sketchbooks scattered around in nooks and crannies full of other clutter. I might have spontaneously used one lying around as a source of paper, but I never committed to one. The only sketchbooks I've filled span years--like eight or ten years, from elementary school or earlier to now. This sketchbook was the first one that I regularly used, and I loved it! I loved being able to look through all my work every time I opened it up. (Narcissistic? Maybe. But when I had artist's block it was a nice reminder that I still have the potential to make art--see, look at all this art you've already made!--even though it felt like I couldn't make any right then.) I'm already working on filling up another, but in the meantime, I'm excited to showcase this one with you all!
