STX BRZ vs STR ND Miata
Same Driver, Same Course, Same Conditions.
This was WDCR's 3rd points event of the year. We took the STR half setup ND Miata vs the 90% setup BRZ. The ND is still missing a header and tune which hurts us mostly at reve limiter which you may hear over the entire top section. The BRZ was a little more slidey than we wanted and some shock adjustments helped a little.
Both cars have Rival 1.5 S tires in 245s.
STX BRZ: 59.749
STR ND : 59.441
PAX Time:
STX BRZ: 59.749 * .822 = 49.113
STR ND : 59.441 * .830 = 49.336
The ND takes the raw time by .308. But the BRZ Takes PAX time by .223. Very close day for both cars.
Looking at the data the ND is better at: Power digs, turning, breaking, high speed direction changes, driver confidence at the limit, not having a roof.
The BRZ was better at: Sounding amazing! Having a tune and not a 55 mph rev limiter like the ND, being comfortable, also taking an extra set of 4 tires
