We sat down with Mark Rossetto (from www.markrossetto.com) to discuss the why, what and how of creating your studio product guide.
Some of Mark's suggestions include
1. Decide where the product guide will be used in the client journey. This will determine what information to include.
2. There are two main types of product guides: experience guides and product guides. An experience guide focuses on the photography experience, while a product guide focuses on the products themselves. You can also create a combination guide that includes both.
3. If your product guide is a combination guide, make sure there is a clear distinction between the experience section and the product section.
4. Include a price list with your product guide.
5. Use high-quality images of your products in your product guide.
6. Make sure your product descriptions are clear and concise. Clients should be able to easily understand what each product is and what it looks like.
7. Consider using a template to create your product guide. There are many templates available online, or you can hire a graphic designer to create a custom template for you.
8. Once you have created your product guide, make sure it is proofread carefully before you share it with clients.
9. Update your website to include information about your products. Your website should be the first place that clients go to learn about your products and services.
10. Educate your clients about your products. There are a number of ways to do this, such as through blog posts, videos, and workshops.
