A Wet Day Out At The Severn Valley Railway
Ever since Great Western Railway Castle Class 4079 Pendennis Castle was announced... I knew I had to come to the Severn Valley Railway for the Spring Steam Gala with also featured GWR Small Prairie, 4555 from the East Somerset Railway and the BR Standard Class 2, 78018 from the Great Central Railway
This heritage railway is sixteen miles long which starts at Kidderminster and heads to Bridgnorth calling at the major stopping points, Bewdley, Arley, Highley and Hampton Loade but sadly didn't stop at Northwood Halt and Country Park Halt but also managed to ride behind the steam locomotives as well. some home fleet and some visiting locomotives.
However the Gala intriguing as Trains were running late, the Weather wasn't on my side and even had to change a few things but the big question is.... was this the best Severn Valley Railway Gala for a while?
