Quick tip for creating grids in Adobe Illustrator 🙌
This was a tool I stumbled on a while ago, and I couldn't believe I had never seen it before. All you need to do is use the rectangle tool and draw out a shape. Then, in the navigation menu, select object/path/split into grid. How many columns and rows you want is up to you, have a play around, and see what you like! 👍
Grids are a great way to experiment with creating quick shape layouts. Simple click on the corner of each shape with the direct selection tool and drag the corners in. To amend how the shape appears, simple click on one of the dragged in corners while holding down the option key on the keyboard.
