RFC Russia Caucasus 2023 Day 1
The Rainforest Challenge is a world-renowned and one of the toughest races in Malaysia, organized by off-road legend Louis Wee. The competition has been held for over 25 years with the support of the Malaysian government. The competition format consists of short special stages with a 15-minute time limit, but they demand the full effort of the crew. Driver skill, engine power, winch speed, and the durability of the off-road vehicle are all crucial. The tracks are laid through the jungle, over rocks, clay, and sand, along mountain streams and rivers, with significant elevation changes.
Based on previous competitions, less than half of the participants complete the entire course. This race is for the few—the strongest in spirit, the most experienced, and the most courageous. It's not easy to perform dizzying stunts in a car, and without risk, victory is impossible.
The Rainforest Challenge is one of the top ten most difficult and challenging competitions in the world of motorsports and is considered the unofficial World Trophy Championship. Traditionally, the RFC attracts the best off-road athletes from around the world, while remaining one of the most accessible and affordable off-road series.
Winners of the RFC Russia Caucasus stages earn the right to represent our country at one of the most challenging off-road competitions on the planet—the RFC Grand Final Malaysia, which takes place in December in Malaysia and is rightfully considered the Off-Road World Championship. Crews that finish second and third receive a certificate for participation in the RFC Malaysia with a 50% and 30% discount, respectively.
