fiished it :) Damon and Elena are a happy couple, but when they get into a car accident Damon is supposedly killed and Elena is distraught. However Damon wakes and has images of the accident flash into his head. He goes back to Elena to tell her he's now a vampire. She is unsure whether he is the same person at first but after a while she starts to realise he's the same Damon she fell in love with.
