The Kindness of Strangers (ft. Distant Shores) | Life Out Loud Bahamas
Stranger danger! Mind your own business. We’re supposed to run away from people we don’t know and keep to ourselves. What fun is that? When Distant Shores was docking right next to us, there was no hesitation, “Let’s go say hi!” A stranger catches a 4ft barracuda. Let’s go meet that guy!
In this episode, we travel to George Town, Bahamas and spot Paul and Sheryl from Distant Shores TV docking at the marina. We show some behind the scenes for their episode “Escape Plan!! Sail Away on a Budget.” Afterwards, we share our thoughts on the sailing couple and our gratitude for sailing channels.
We pick up Morgan’s boyfriend, Logan, who stays with us for the week. We were pretty anxious about having five people on our tiny 27ft Albin Vega sailboat, but--kind strangers to the rescue!--we are pleasantly surprised to find all our needs met by our new friends. With the kids camping on the beach, we spend the rest of our time partying, enjoying our new friends’ company, and sharing our feelings on strangers and acts of kindness.
