Pokémon Battle Revolution 6/3/09 (5) - Summer Cold
Another battle uploaded much later than it should have been. The battle introduces Lanturn, my Palkia replacement; and surprisingly works better than my Palkia. Since Palkia really was just a giant target. For some reason I have no Uber capabilities every time I use a Uber they do worse than the NUs, but I guess I shouldn't be complaining, most people would like to have that ability.
Even though this was Lanturn's debut, it didn't do much... The reason was it became frozen along with the enemy's Crobat; the reason the video is titled "Summer Cold". If you don't get the pun, some people may catch a cold in summer, in which they call a summer cold, usually it is given by leaving the fan on high as you sleep. (I would know) What does that have to do with the battle? Well, since both Crobat and Lanturn were frozen in the same battle, ergo "cold" and since we fought in June, "summer"
The battle itself was stale. I liked that he used a Special Gyarados, even though I think he wasn't trying to be original, and just had no idea what he was doing; as the damage output was horrible...and I really wanted to see a strong special Gyarados too...
What also dragged down the battle is that he disconnected, but before that I got to see the damage Muddy Water did to Gyarados, I was astounded. Sure he probably didn't EV train, but Gyarados have high Special Defense as well as being resistant to Water and Muddy Water did half! I may have had rain too, but moves like Muddy Water and Heat Wave have their power cut when they hit 2 pokemon.
I used Lapras, Swampert, Lanturn, and Poliwrath(unseen)
My opponent used Crobat, Gyarados, (unseen), and (unseen).
