Tech Minute: Signing a PDF Document on the Mac and an iPad.
Using this method, you can easily sign a document with your real signature. There are features in place where you can use a stylus or an actual signature that you write on a piece of paper and then import those into a PDF.
We have quite a few managed services clients that we work with, and those arrangements and relationships start with a contract of some kind that both parties can agree on. The old days of printing a document, signing it with ink, and then scanning it in or taking a picture of it and emailing it are mostly gone. That's not to say that some places still won't require an actual ink signature that's scanned in with the ridges and details visible to make sure that it was actually signed, but for the most part, this method works well and doesn't require any additional software to do.
With the advent of digital e-sign software and services online that realtors and any other business folk use, that makes this seem cheesy, but keep in mind that those guys fork out tons of bucks for those digital signature management suites, and if you're an individual or a small business, that may just not be an option for you.
