The first instrument on our Elemental series, Pyramids invites you into a world where ancient geometry meets modern sound alchemy. Crafted from pure quartz, these instruments resonate with crystalline clarity, offering a vast and immersive soundworld of harmonic depth. Their precise ratios, inspired by the Great Pyramids of Egypt, produce transparent tones that can be shaped through movement, rhythmic beating, and the addition of other vibrating sources. As the first release in our Elemental series, Pyramids is an instrument explored to its core, surpassing the physical world’s limitations to create augmented and versatile sound expressions.
The recording of Pyramids was led by Christopher LaRosa, a composer for film, games, and concert halls, alongside Brian D'Oliveira, our Founder and Creative Director. Christopher played a crucial role in inspiring the project. During the initial recording session, LaRosa performed on the pyramids, and his extensive experience as an arranger brought invaluable insight into shaping and expanding their unique tonal landscape. Brian supported Christopher’s recording efforts and later contributed additional sessions, drawing inspiration from the possibilities unlocked by our MNDALA 2 Sampling Engine, further expanding the instrument’s capabilities.
