Over Voltage Protection - Don't Let Your Charge Pump Explode
In this video, we go over a circuit designed to protect your pedal from over-voltage called a crowbar circuit. This doesn't allow voltages above 9V to pass, which may be necessary when trying to protect a charge pump IC. To do this, we use a 9.1V Zener Diode and an SCR.
