TPA Archive Awareness Month
Every year, the City of Tampa celebrates Archives Awareness Week in conjunction with the city's birthday on July 15. This year, Tampa International Airport decided to dig through our own archive collection to pull out some historic images of the Airport dating back to before our current terminal opened in 1971. TPA's Records and Information Department maintains 8 archive rooms with maps, documents and early images of the Airport. Check out some of the images Records and Information Manager Dylan Didion uncovered showing our old Main Terminal and early concept drawings for the Tampa International Airport of today.
