My client's minds are typically blown when I share this with them, butttt one reason you may be having difficulty taking successful steps forward (especially longer steps) is due to your inability to lift your heel high enough 👣!

If you struggle with lifting your heel while keeping your toes down... you're not alone. Many of my clients face this challenge, which can impact crucial phases of walking...

...like pushing off from the back leg. Which is necessary in walking forward + taking longer or faster steps.

Try this exercise:

➡️ Heel Lifts: Stand with feet flat on the ground. Lift one heel as high as possible while keeping toes down. Hold briefly, then lower heel. Repeat, aiming for increased height each time. This strengthens foot mobility and can be done with one or both feet.

➡️ Focus on achieving maximum angle between foot and shin during heel lift. By aiming for greater angle, it enhances overall ankle range of motion… meaning you’ll be able to take better (and safer) steps forward!

Comment below if you’ll give this exercise a try!💪
