Neon Spark with Faye Wei Wei
Conceived and designed by rising British Chinese artist Faye Wei Wei, the acclaimed neon artwork ‘Frail Silver of The Climbing Stars’, is now on public display at the British Council offices at 3 Supreme Court Road in Admiralty.
The work, which was co-commissioned by the British Council and Phillips auction house for the British Council’s inaugural Festival of Ideas – SPARK: The Science and Art of Creativity – in January, will be exhibited until it is put under the hammer by Phillips in May 2019. Proceeds from the sale will go towards a new British Council project that aims to develop young creative talent in Hong Kong. Details of the project will be revealed at the live auction in spring.
由藝壇新星、英國華人藝術家Faye Wei Wei構思和設計，廣受推崇的「Frail Silver of The Climbing Stars」霓虹藝術創作，現正在金鐘法院道3號英國文化協會公開展出。作品由英國文化協會聯同富藝斯，為英國文化協會在一月舉辦的首個嶄新創意和思考的項目「SPARK：The Science and Art of Creativity」而創作。
作品將會公開展出至五月，屆時將由富藝斯為作品舉行慈善拍賣，所籌得的款項將會捐贈予英國文化協會用作支持該會培育香港的年青創意人才的項目。有關項目的詳細資訊將於春季舉行的拍賣現場公佈。
