Expanding Data Visualization for Next-Generation Pumped Storage Hydropower Webinar
This video was produced when the laboratory operated as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The laboratory is now the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). NREL recently released the 2nd generation of the first-ever U.S. resource assessment for closed-loop pumped storage hydropower (PSH), revealing new possibilities for PSH systems. With a new web-based visualization tool, this dataset allows for in-depth exploration of potential PSH sites and their characteristics. This dataset can help define how PSH can contribute to a decarbonized energy future for the United States. This webinar includes a live demonstration of the tool to help users understand how to explore and use the data.
