Earth Observation Data in the Social Sciences – GESIS academic workshop December 2023
As part of the "GESIS meets Copernicus" project funded by the GESIS innovation fund, a workshop on "Earth Observation Data in the Social Sciences" was held from December 13 to 15, 2023. Around 35 participants spent three days discussing case studies and projects from the fields of political attitudes and behavior, environment and climate, inequality, conflict and development cooperation, and methods development. GESIS welcomed Prof. Peter Howe from Utah State University, and Manuel Linsenmeier from Columbia University, as keynote speaker.
