In this video, I have used event structure and elapsed time function in LabVIEW to simulate a situation where we need to save the appliance's time duration during which it is turned on so as to find out the power consumption of a particular appliance. This is just a simulation that is starting point of creating smart energy metering and it can be extended and twisted according to a specific idea. This video interprets the use of event structure and elapsed time function implementation for beginners.
