Marine Environment - Supported by Seafish
This is Odyssey Innovation. They want to rid our seas of plastic pollution so they recycle end of life fishing gear and turn it in to great products such as kayaks. However, some fishing gear is expensive to recycle and needs to be sent for specialist recycling overseas on a large scale.
We helped Odyssey with some funding and local contacts to get a recycling scheme up and running in the South West of England. We then connected him with the Welsh Government to extend his recycling scheme in to Wales.
With stronger ties and more collaboration, we can help the UK seafood sector to thrive.
