In this recipe video I have shown the step by step process of two special chutneys which are usually served with Idli and dosa. First chutney in this video is kara chutney also known as spicy onion tomato chutney and the second recipe is coconut chutney
Preparation time - 15 mins
Kara Chutney:
Onion -1/4 cup
Tomato -1/2 cup
Dry red chillies - 7
Garlic cloves - 10
Chana dal - 2 tbsp
Urad dal -2.5 tbsp
Tamarind pulp -1 tsp
Curry leaves - 10
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Coconut chutney:
Ginger - 2 inch
Green chilli -1
Fresh coconut -1/2 cup
Roasted chana dal -2 tbsp
Tamarind pulp -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 10
Mustard seeds -1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
