When programming secondary operations, an accurate stock body is often necessary to prevent air cutting and to allow accurate material-only toolpath calculations. Accurate simulation requires a detailed representation of the stock.
Today's Tech Tip walks you through moving a turned part to a mill for rotary milling operations. Though our example shows moving a part from a lathe to a mill, the same method applies even when performing secondary ops on the same type of machine or even on the same machine.
