Making nitroglycerin
In this video I’ll be using chemistry to make nitroglycerin a useful heart medication and explosive. First 30 milliliters of sulfuric acid is added to a test tube along with 10 milligrams of potassium nitrate. Once cooled down to 0 degrees Celsius the glycerin is added.
