Chapter 10. Dharma Vahini. The House of God
Now about the house of God, the residence (called alaya or mandir) of the aspect of divinity that has taken concrete form, the temple, and the rules of Dharma associated with it. Rules have proliferated and pervaded these institutions, following the whims and prejudices of various authorities. They have led people away from Dharma and Brahman, and even from proper Karma; they baffle devotees with their diversity and unreasonableness. They are blindly adhered to, and therefore they cause much harm to the well-being of the entire world. In fact, these rules and formalities define the first steps away from God. They greatly contribute to the flourishing of atheism.
There is only one race—the race of humans,
There is only one language—the language of the heart,
There is only one religion—the religion of love,
There is only one God—and He is omnipresent.
