Despite the memes in the title and thumbnail, this game is actually fantastic!
After getting past the.... fan-service... the creators have provided us there's actually quite a compelling and fun game. I am still getting into the story, but so far it is passable. Very Nier like, which is fine as long as it doesn't completely mirror the story.
The game play is what I am here for. After trying the demo, and getting to mess around on a second boss, I can say that I thoroughly enjoy the game play. I would define it as kinda hack and slash meets Sekiro (parry system). It is difficult and punishing, but tbh not as completely punishing once you get more skills. The power leveling and unlocks feel quite fair, and at no point in the game have I felt "weak" or under powered... but also never felt like I was one shotting any bosses.
