Working Out with Paris National Team Player Mathias Lessort

Many may not know that I was a NCAA D1 scout team walk-on off pure talent. I never trained growing up in the way most did, I began my journey training to reach the NBA my sophomore year in college. In the Washington, D.C. area I reached out to local trainers, ordered basketball development programs like Elite Guard Training, and maximized what was available to me. When I graduated, I went to overseas combines, reached out to agents, received invites to camps 2014-2015. 2015-2017 I explored opportunities in Spains 3rd-4th division purely to learn anything I was missing from not having competed all 4 years at the Division 1 level. 2018-2019 I explored opportunities in Beirut, Lebanon. That same year Jim Clemons former Chicago Bulls assistant saw me at his camp in Vegas and sent me to workout with the New York Knicks League in Westchester! I have played on many Semi Pro teams, in 2020 I played for the Red Rose Thunder based in Pennsylvania. My plan worked out, I learned how to work/train like a professional and I learned how the business of basketball worked. The journey is truly the reward they say. Over the years I used my technology degree to work remotely, allowing me to train at home doing injury prevention work in between zoom meetings, and doing ball handling drills outside etc. At night I would go lift weights and shoot. Keep in mind that I made the commitment to go towards my goals of competing in the NBA seriously in my heart (not just how we say as kids "I want to play in the league") but the commitment to train at a very high level not knowing if it would pay off in 2012!! I was a sophomore. That was 10 years ago!!! I have earned my 10,000 hrs. in a bit of a different format! call me crazy, but I have come this far... I cannot turn back now! I am not just hungry to play at the highest levels, but I want to WIN! I want to lead young guys; I want to help players have a better mentality! My energy is contagious!
