FFXIV Quick Tips - Tank Position!
I'm Lucid and here is a quick tip on how to position yourself as a tank
First off. Please don't run around. Just grab the monsters and stay put!
For normal packs of monsters, gather them up and face them away from your group and hold them there. Casters can't usually move while casting their spells. Keeping the enemies in place allows your teammates time to get their spells off.
If there are ranged enemies, Try to drag the melee enemies over to them, that way AoE attacks hit all the enemies.
For Bosses, Move through the boss to turn it away from your party and hold your position. Only move to avoid mechanics and then move back to your original position. This helps your melee DPS land their attacks.
Good luck tanking and always remember you matter!
