I’ve had this for many years and wonder why I don’t use it more. It’s the #shnth by shbobo / #ciatlonbarde it is a #computermusic device that features the arm cortex m3 32 bit processor. It connects to a host computer (windows, linux and mac) via usb or can as a standalone #synthesiser . It’s modular synth based and synth patches are programmed by the user. 16 bit sound comes from a standard stereo 3.5mm jack. It’s got a gritty sound that reminds me of the Nord Micro #Modular. It is self powered by #rechargeable batteries which are charged via usb. Each of the 8 buttons, 4 wooden barre, lights and 2 woven antennae on the underside can be programmed to by the user. There is an audio input and an external microphone. It can store dozens of patches for instant recall - perfect for #live #performance. It’s the best bang for buck and has the widest sonic pallet of all Ciat Lonbarde gear - yet there are so few users. It can also connect to #monome Norns and be run as a controller. It’s a hidden gem for the uninspired.
