In today's video, we'll be covering how to reflect a point, and even a graph and shape, over a line that is not the x or y axis.
If the line of reflection is a horizontal line, then the point will be moving vertically. Therefore, we'll count the distance in the y values from the y point to the line of reflection, and then move that same amount to the other side of the line. The x values will remain the same.
For a vertical line of reflection, the opposite is true: the x values will change, while the y values remain the same.
We'll also reflect over the lines y=x and y=-x!
