An absolute beginners guide to CI/CD | Dmytro Zhluktenko | MSP Ukraine
In this talk, we will go over one of the main pillars for successful software engineering - Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment.
At first, we will describe what are those concepts, how do they differ between each other, and how do they contribute to the overall software development life cycle. Also, we will consider the options given to us by Microsoft - mainly Azure DevOps as a tool to build automated CI/CD pipelines. In the end, we will take a look at how big companies build CI/CD for their products.
By the end of this talk, attendees should become familiar with core concepts of CI/CD and be able to differentiate CI from CD, and know how to create a basic Azure DevOps pipeline using their student subscription.
