Reporting a bug to Bugzilla when your Fedora installer crashes
If you are attempting to install a in-progress version of Fedora such as test composes, chances are you will run into the installer crashing. Sometimes, it's easy to precisely recall/state what you were doing and file a bug report so that the concerned people can fix it. But sometimes, it is not so easy to write down and convey it precisely.
This screencast shows you how you can use 'recordmydesktop' program to record a video as you attempt to install and also shows how you can configure Bugzilla and send a report in case you run into a crash.
Brief overview of what I am doing here:
Here as you can see, I am installing the ISO in a virtual machine. So I installed 'recordmydesktop' on my host Fedora installation using 'yum install recordmydesktop' and then before I start the install, I start it as 'recordmyinstall --no-sound'.
Now continue with the installation in the VM and once you are done, press 'Ctrl+C' and your .ogv file will be created. You can upload it to a video sharing site such a YouTube and share the URL.
