We took a day trip from Osaka to Kyoto to experience Sewaritei Riverside Park — one of the biggest and most beloved hanami spots in the area. At peak bloom, its 1.4km sakura tunnel comes alive with a full sakura festival, families picnicking under the trees, and locals enjoying the blossoms together. It was the perfect place to soak in spring the way the locals do.
Later, we headed to Fushimi Canal, a historic waterway lined with cherry trees and traditional wooden boats. Once used to transport sake, it now becomes a charming, peaceful sakura scene every spring.
We ended the day with a cozy dinner back in Osaka — a sweet way to wrap up this final chapter of our sakura journey. 🌸
