What is LMP2 in IMSA?
Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) is the middle of the IMSA classes and includes the same type of look and innovation goal as the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) class. With no car manufacturer support, each team highlights a bronze amateur driver with a top-class professional driver in hopes to take the checkered flag. You can easily identify this class with their blue number plate backgrounds and mirrors.
