RG Comeback No. 3: Andreescu and Venus win mixed debut
It went south in a hurry in the first set of Bianca Andreescu's mixed-doubles debut, with Michael Venus in Paris.
Somehow, though, they completely turned it around, and posted a 2-6, 6-1, 10-8 victory over the more experienced Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Kevin Krawietz to advance to the second round.
They meet Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Mate Pavic in the second round Sunday.
