I rember :)

Benchmark is a memory demon that's a bit different than other memory demons. I had the idea for Benchmark when Maymory was going on, but as you see, I was a bit slow with that. As you could probably guess, Benchmark is largely inspired by The Human Benchmark, which has different "tests" that involve a lot of concentration and critical thinking. For this level, I wanted to see what it would be like to have a memory demon completely revolving around critical thinking. This wasn't really inspired that much by Limbo, which may be a surprise. I wanted the deco of the level to look like The Human Benchmark's website theming, but I found it too limiting and instead opted to use the sleek, modernistic design instead. Overall, I had a lot of fun creating this and had fun verifying it. Difficulty wise, I'm not too sure where this lies. It could be insane demon, it could be demon list exteme demon. I'm personally leaning toward this being a beginner extreme demon, but that could be different from what everyone else thinks, considering the vastly different skillset required for this level. Based on what playtesters have told me and what people have said about my previews, this may be harder than I see it as.

Anyways, I'll explain all 5 parts below so you guys aren't that confused when watching this.

Part 1: 6 buttons are shown. Some of them light up green. They shuffle, and then you have to select the ones that were green. Then, some of the buttons will invert color. When this happens, the affected button inverts their state (ie. once green buttons are now blank, blank buttons are now green). They shuffle, you select, and the process happens a final time.

Part 2: At the beginning of the part, 5 columns with 3 rows each appear. These columns represent the ones at the end of the level. The white spots are the safe rows you need to go through. As you go through the part, these safe spots shift up or down, so pay attention and go through the final sequence at the end.

Part 3: The gameplay itself is simple, it's just invisible. You need to pay attention to the shapes in the back. Count how many of each shape there is, and at the end of the part, add or subtract the value of 2 of the shapes and input the final value.

Part 4: A sequence will show on the top of the screen. The columns will shift left on every beat. On the right most side of the sequence, one of the rows in the column will highlight red. Like in part 2, the white row is the safe spot, except this time the safe spot represents the floor or ceiling. As the column shifts left, the red part fades and you have to remember which part is safe. When the column is highlighted at the left, the danger row is highlighted again and the floor it represents will kill the player.

Part 5: There are 3 numbers at the very start of the level you need to remember. In parts 1 and 3, there are prompts that come up that tell you to add or subtract a value from one of these numbers. At the end, input the new numbers.

Anyways, this was fun to do, good luck to everyone who tries to beat this insane level! This is very likely my last big project of 2.1, so I'll see ya all in 2.2!
