Roller coasters offer more than just thrills, screams, and fun — they allow us to experience PHYSICS. In this activity, Roller Coaster Fun, you will explore concepts of potential and kinetic energy, conservation of energy, friction, velocity and acceleration using simple supplies like pipe insulation and steel ball bearings. This engaging teacher will teach you all about the physics behind roller coasters and then give you a chance to experiment with some of the variables on your own.
