Research shows that children with motor skills competence are more likely to stay physically active into adolescence and adulthood, so what if what if every child in America had these foundational proficiencies? At the 2016 Project Play Summit, a panel explored how to help every kid in America become physically literate, defined as the ability, confidence, and desire to be physically active for life. Moderating the session was Chief Science Officer for the American Council on Exercise, Cedric Bryant, who was joined by Dean Kriellaars, Associate Professor, University of Manitoba; Mike Sagas, Department Chair and Professor, University of Florida; and Kathleen Tullie, Founder, BOKS.
